The most popular sport in the world, soccer, was invented by Ebenezer Cobb Morley, and so were the laws of the game. Through his legacy of standardizing the rules of soccer, the first game of soccer that he constructed still looks similar to the game today. Through Morley's leadership in creating the laws of soccer, he is now regarded as the "Father of Football".
