Ebenezer Cobb Morley's legacy has been know for many years by lots of people in many different countries. A couple years after the construction of the rules, the rules began to advance more and more. One of the newest advancements was goal-line technology. It debuted for one of the first times during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The technology helps the referees determine whether a ball completely crossed the goal-line for a goal or not.
Creating the laws of the game also demonstrates leadership because Ebenezer Cobb Morley took creating the rules into his own hands. Without anyone telling him to, he went into his basement and set the rules straight. If he wouldn't have taken the leadership to make the rules, someone else may have done it and created completely different guidelines to soccer.
